BBNZ Kiwi Hoops is Basketball New Zealand’s national basketball programme for Tamariki. It uses basketball activities and games-based learning to support Tamariki to develop skills and confidence and grow their love for the game. There are five ways BNZ Kiwi Hoops will be delivered across the motu in 2025.
These are:
- In-school 4–8-week programme
- After-school 4–8-week programme
- 1-off events – in schools and/or communities
- Holiday programme(s)
- Gameplay formats

The programme provides best practice tools and resources for coaches, teachers, parents, volunteers, and administrators to ensure all Tamariki can play basketball in a safe and enjoyable environment.
