Following an Independent Financial Review being conducted on our organisation by Naylor, Lawrence and Associates one of the many recommendations to come from the review was that the rules of the Association be formally reviewed and aligned with recent legislation, and the current operating environment.
This would provide sufficient flexibility to enable the Executive and its members to operate in a manner that is appropriate to the Association’s needs and provide sufficient flexibility to appoint and coopt specific skill sets as and when required.
The Board of Basketball Manawatu took this onboard and with the assistance of BBNZ have developed a new constitution for our association that has now been adopted at the AGM held on 30th November
