It’s a big fortnight for Basketball Manawatū, as our U16 and U18 men’s and women’s teams prepare to showcase their talent on the national stage at the 2025 Basketball New Zealand Foot Locker Age Group Nationals.

U18s: Ready for Christchurch
Traveling this Sunday, the U18s head to Christchurch fired up and focused:

– The U18 Men are in *Pool A* alongside Canterbury A, Southland, Wellington, and Waitakere West B—some of the best in the country.
– The U18 Women, placed in *Pool D*, face a fierce lineup: Wellington, Harbour A, Canterbury B, and Nelson.

With determination and unity, these teams are looking to leave a lasting impression.

U16s: Wellington Bound
The U16s follow soon after, departing on 7 July to begin play on the 8th at Ākau Tangi Sports Centre in Wellington:

– The U16 Men will battle it out in *Pool D* with Waikato, Harbour B, Tauranga, and Otago—setting the stage for tightly contested matchups.
– The U16 Women face a gritty challenge in *Pool D* as well, meeting Wellington, Canterbury A, Rotorua B, and Harbour B.

Across both age groups, our teams have trained relentlessly. Now, they get to represent their rohe with heart and hustle.

Let’s get behind them and show Aotearoa what Manawatū basketball is all about!
